Set up your camera, use controlled drags and keep your finger away from chat while the catch interface is active.

Set the camera first

Use a comfortable view before starting a catch. A wider view makes NPC dialogue and nearby spawn loops easier to read, while a close view can hide the moving zone.

Touch catch technique

Tap once for the timing window, then drag with short movements during the waveform and catch zone. Lift your finger when the zone changes direction rather than overcorrecting.

Fix accidental swipes

Close chat, rotate the device if needed and re-enter the catch. If the camera moves while dragging, reset the view before attempting another rare catch.
