A reliable early-game loop for funding the next instrument without wasting travel time or quest items.

Sell duplicates, keep quest targets

Keep at least one copy of anything named by an active quest. Sell common duplicates after a catch chain and use the proceeds for the next instrument requirement.

Chain nearby spawns

Choose a compact Grove route and repeat it. A short loop produces more catches per minute than travelling to isolated targets, especially while learning timing.

Spend Chimes with a goal

Write down the next instrument or quest cost before spending. Cosmetics and detours are easier to afford after the first major upgrade improves your catch consistency.

Best habit: sell at the end of a loop, not after every catch. Staying in rhythm reduces empty travel and keeps your attention on the catch meter.
